The college has a spot called the Geoduck House at the end of Sunset Beach Dr. NW, but I'm not sure what the parking situation is there. There are a couple of spots on Budd Inlet that could work. Boston Harbor Marina is one. Hope you get some good sailing on those beautiful waters!James Douglasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15380226220764974087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3124426997314960696.post-49772246711671017892018-10-23T15:51:06.408-07:002018-10-23T15:51:06.408-07:00Old post, but very helpful. I'm a big guy (close to 275 lbs) and haven't sailed much in the last few years, but I have over 25 years of gear with boards ranging from 90L to 180L and sales from 3.5m up to 10m. My Formula board will probably end up in the trash along with some carbon masts that are well beyond their natural life.
That leaves me with some nice Transition and Longboards (Mistral Escape, Mistral Vison 150, JP 150, Starboard 135, etc) that might work well. I can handle gusty conditions, no problem, but I don't think my sinkers (anything less than 135L for my weight) will do well. I will probably never get back to the bump-n-jump wave sailing of my youth so I guess I should leave those behind.

Any advise on beach locations, sail & board sizes that are popular, etc. are appreciated.
(My house is very close to Evergreen College, but not directly on the water.)

Inflighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08426606572051127128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3124426997314960696.post-7135232932938577542010-08-30T06:45:00.192-07:002010-08-30T06:45:00.192-07:00Hi Paul. The fin and mast base should be easy to find but the daggerboard might be difficult.

http://www.windance.com/

If that doesn't work, post your question on the www.iwindsurf.com forum.James Douglasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15380226220764974087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3124426997314960696.post-71617789478517345322010-08-30T06:14:29.214-07:002010-08-30T06:14:29.214-07:00I was doing some searching and I came across you w...I was doing some searching and I came across you webpage. Actually, there have been one or two days but bad forcasts and bad timing has kept me off the water.Outdrsmnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03540807323794572514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3124426997314960696.post-52425988374935556332008-08-11T16:16:00.000-07:002008-08-11T16:16:00.000-07:00Looks like you'll be getting some wind tomorrow:ht...Looks like you'll be getting some wind tomorrow:
http://www.temirawagonfeld.com/windblog/

SophiaGorge Smurfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07952493227237496273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3124426997314960696.post-67318806545562553102008-08-11T13:37:00.000-07:002008-08-11T13:37:00.000-07:00hope it honks in the gorge!hope it honks in the gorge!Catapulting Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13721515415513822156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3124426997314960696.post-70862197320156326062008-08-11T09:16:00.000-07:002008-08-11T09:16:00.000-07:00James in the Gorge...can't wait to read about it!James in the Gorge...can't wait to read about it!PeconicPuffinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15727526949787504644noreply@blogger.com
