Clew Mount Camera Glory

I was inspired by the awesome videos on Andy McKinney's "Lost in Hatteras" blog to try mounting my GoPro camera on the clew end of my boom instead of just wearing it on my head. I did it exactly like Andy showed, and it seemed to work. Conviently, yesterday evening provided 15-20 knots of breeze and some nice lighting for testing it out. I used a 5.5 msq Aerotech Charge and 106 liter Exocet Cross.

Jeepers, that's really a great video clip. The music is too loud but I'm sure that is just my quintessentially elderly perspective. Your sister says it's a really cool video.

That's some fast riding there, and the camera angle and perspective were great! Unlike you dad, I thought the music was a great choice. Thanks for sharing!

Andy sure got it right. This is great footage. I'm most jealous of the temps- trunks in Nov!

For newbies like me it would be awesome if you could find the time to show some slow-mo sequences of the planing jibes and duck jibes. I'm still working on sailing out of the jibes :]

Wow great video and nice jibes. That is a great camera angle, I'll have to try that out. That board and sail look familiar.
