Every time I whine about my awful violent neighbor or the disheartening urban decay of Lynn, Massachusetts, folks tell me to move. Well, I think I'm ready. I worked hard to get my PhD and get a job, my student loans are fairly close to paid off, and I don't reckon I need to live in a gloomy ghetto at this point in my life. What I'll probably do is look for a 2 bedroom place on Nahant and split it with a roommate. Should end up being about the same price, and being free of my psycho neighbor (see today's video below) will be priceless.

That is really sad, James. Glad you are leaving. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I gotta say the worst part is hearing children's voices. Hope they were just a coincidence.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding, right? Those kids are in another apartment, fortunately, but I'm sure they hear it just as loud as I do. What I really worry about is that the psycho guy's psycho girlfriend is pregnant. Good grief!
ReplyDeletehorrible. get the hell out the there!
ReplyDeleteOh my... give that man some Haldol! Hey James, with your Ph.D in marine biology, why not move to Maui?
ReplyDeleteYeah, it might be about time.
ReplyDeleteAlso, just let me add these sage words: "I will F*c8K#@ bury you m*th#$(@!cker!!"
:)
I've had a lot of success finding like-minded roommates over the years. I've got a room opening up in the summer, if you're interested... ha!
ReplyDeleteCammar- Yep. I'm lining up another place to live. If it works out I'll be able to leave at the end of May.
ReplyDeleteBrian- Seriously. That would be a lot better than whatever he's self-medicating with; booze and meth, I think. I'll be applying for real "professor" type jobs in the near future, and windy tropical places are definitely on the list.
BLCS- Oh, yeah, he definitely has a unique lyrical style. One of my favorite quotes is, "I have a hammer- I'm going to BASH you motherf*cker!! I'll go to jail but you'll be DEAD!!"
Aaron- Sounds good, but the 3000 mile commute might be a bit much, what with gas prices as they are.
hey James.
ReplyDeleteI use to live in Somerville, Davis sq. Now I live in Asia. All I can say is that Lynn, Lynn city of Sin, builds character.
James, I hope the bad guy doesnt read your blog. Then again he doesnt sound like he can read.
ReplyDeleteIvan- Yep, I've got enough character now to fill a novel.
ReplyDeleteScott F- Besides being dumb he's pretty much blind, so I assume he doesn't read this. :)
