The wind here in Florida has been relentless for a week, every day around 20 mph. Yesterday was probably the windiest yet, with 20 - 30 mph. I used a 4.7 msq Ezzy wave sail that I got last year from a guy who had switched to kiting. The waves weren't huge where I launched near Fort Pierce's South Jetty, but I still had some trouble getting out due to the onshore wind direction. Once out, however, it was great. There were some nice waves on the North side of Fort Pierce Inlet, and some very challenging voodoo swells in the inlet itself, where the incoming waves met the outgoing tide.
James Looks Good. Lisa and I are planning on coming to FL to see my mom around Christmas. I am hoping to stop by to sail in your area as we are on our way to the Keys. Hope we can hook up. Chad
That inlet is downright treacherous, just did my first crossing yesterday... It was made much more exciting by the fact that my kite had a slow air leak!
Dude, that was awesome! I want to be a windsurfer when I grow up. I bought a Bruce Jones ~9 1/2ft windsurfing board for $10 sans fin or anything else for that matter. So, I'm getting there.

"Mares" brand Size Mens' Medium Pictures: back, front VERY thick and warm, with wrist and ankle seals and waterproof back zipper. Used for scuba diving in Washington State. Could work for windsurfing or kiting, but probably not flexible enough for surfing. Integrated hood has been removed above the collar so you will need to wear a separate hood or have a dive shop tailor one on for you. Have to pick it up from me in Massachusetts.
