No kidding.
This was taken around 1988 during a family camping trip at the Potholes Reservoir. It was probably my second time ever on a windsurf.

awesome photo... hahaha...
James, you were so cute back then.
Aaron, is that your article catapulting in the new Windsurfing magazine? I liked it.
20 years on and you're still sailing your dads old longboard :-).
Enjoyed your recent vids on old gear. As someone who now only sails an IMCO, I can relate to having a lot of fun on old gear....although my dacron sails are new UL Superfreaks.
James, I love your blog. It's starting to get cold here already on Cape Cod, so I'm thinking more about my next trip to Vero Beach. This time, I think I'll bring more windsurfing equipment!!!! Hopefully, I'll meet you at the Ft. P. Jetee. As to this photo, Five years ago I put back in service a home movie (8 mm) projector and new screen. Playing through my Dad's old home movies and showing them to my young neice, I discovered something about myself. There I was as a young teen on a Sunfish, my first sailing experience, almost completely forgotten. The film was deteriorating quickly at that point, and I had to send it all (projectors, too) to the trash. They're great moments, though. I looked through your sailing with your dad blog entry. Priceless!!! We are very fortunate to have known ours.
Thanks for the stoke, y'all. John, looking forward to seeing you again when you make your winter migration. :)
